Use Add Page or Tool to add pages of course content, WebCT tools, or links to websites and external applications to your course. You can add pages and tools directly to the Homepage, or you can create an Organizer Page on which to group links of similar function. You can also use Add Page or Tool to add a link to an external web page or to an external program. Note: For more information on adding external programs to your course, see Linking to an External Program. For users who are new to WebCT, we recommend that you use a wizard to add the following tools:
Each wizard guides you through the individual steps for adding the tool. To enable the wizards, select the Use a wizard when available check box. For more information on wizards, see Course Design Center. Note: Depending on administrator settings, this feature may not be available to you. Before you add a page or tool, decide on these three points:
Choosing the type of page or tool | Top There are six categories of pages or tools that you can add to your WebCT course. These are: Pages
Content Utilities
Communication Tools
Evaluation & Activity Tools
Student Tools
Note: You may find additional tools listed in one or more of the above categories or in a generic category, Other. These are external programs that have been added by your WebCT administrator. For more information, see Linking to an External Program. Choosing where to display the page or tool | Top You can display the page or tool in one or both of the following locations:
Choosing the appearance of the link | Top If you are adding the link to the Homepage or an Organizer Page, you can choose its appearance. You can choose to display it as text only, as an icon only, or as an icon with a title. Note: If you are adding the link to the Course Menu, it will appear as text only.
